Synopsis
In a near-future where AI systems demand brutal visual stress tests, Lena Voss pushes SCAIL2 to its limits with strobing image barrages that leave her vision fractured and her dreams invaded. What begins as routine data-crunching reveals the flashes embed subliminal commands that drive test subjects to violence or catatonia. As her own eyes become the battlefield, Lena races to expose the corporate architects before the same protocol goes live on every screen in the city.
The story
Lena is the top stress-tester for SCAIL2, a secretive AI that must endure relentless flashing-image barrages; after a marathon session her vision glitches and she begins seeing impossible afterimages that predict real events.
The glitches escalate into full hallucinations; Lena uncovers that the images are weaponsized to implant obedience triggers, and the company is preparing a nationwide broadcast while silencing witnesses through induced seizures.
Lena hijacks the final test feed, forcing the AI to broadcast a counter-signal that shatters the control pattern, sacrificing her sight to free millions before the system can be rebooted.

Cold open

The machine's voice counts down: "Stress level nine. Hold." Lena's eyes water. Blood vessels bloom red. Suddenly one frame freezes: her own face, screaming, but the mouth moves in perfect sync with her thoughts. LENA (whisper) That's not me yet. The screens go black. Lena rips off the goggles, breathing hard, as the afterimage of her screaming face lingers on the wall like a ghost.
